HOW IT ALL BEGAN...
The Founder of "TPG", Ken Posney, was born in Los Angeles, California and migrated down to Orange County and San Diego County. From 1984 to 1988, Ken Posney served in the U.S. Navy, tracking Russian submarines from a P-3 Orion airplane. After the Navy, he worked for several San Diego tech companies as a Business Analyst and Sales Ops Manager, working on his photography part-time. While in San Diego, Ken started making photographs of hula dancers along the coast of Southern California, serving as a Board Member for the La Jolla Art Society. His work has been displayed in several prestigious locations, including the Merrill Lynch Building, Kyocera Corporation Gallery and the largest outdoor gallery in the Hawaiian Islands at the Kauai Shopping Village.
In 2005, Ken moved to the island of Kauai to continue his work as a hula and wedding photographer. Living in the old sugar mill town of Koloa, on the south shore of Kauai, Ken married Haunani Kaiminaauao, who was born and raised on Kauai. Ken and Haunani have four children, Sepa, Levi, Halia and Oli. They all surf, hike, play ukulele and stay active around the island.

After more than thirty years of photography, Ken Posney decided to start a business that would free up the photographers time, offer a reliable and a superior service at a fair price. In the end, this allows your photographer to be more creative, without having to focus so much on the details of running a business.
Since January 2010, we have been inviting professional, passionate, and reliable photographers to The Photographers Group. Our photographers are selected based on the quality of their work, their professionalism, passion, reliability, responsiveness and character. Consider us a small, personal and professional studio, with worldwide access to a large number of quality photographers and a strong commitment to your happiness and satisfaction.
